Delete your account

Applies to the Dab Hand app on Android, and on iOS when it launches  ·  Developer: Alexander Musgrave T/A Dab Hand Apps

You can delete your Dab Hand account and everything in it yourself, from inside the app. You don't need to email us, and there's nothing we hold back.

How to delete it

  1. Open Dab Hand and sign in to the account you want to remove.
  2. Tap the settings icon in the top right.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm. Your data is removed and you're signed out straight away.

Cancel your subscription first. Deleting your account does not cancel a Dab Hand Professional subscription or any team seats, because billing is held by Google or Apple rather than by us. Cancel it in your Google Play or App Store account settings, otherwise it will keep renewing.

What happens to your data

Deleted immediately

  • Your profile and login
  • Every work order, including titles, descriptions, prices and due dates
  • Your customer records, addresses, contact details and private notes
  • Quotes, invoices and job reports you've created
  • All photos and PDFs attached to jobs, and your uploaded logo
  • Your business details and saved bank details
  • All time sessions in your timesheet
  • Calendar notes and reminders
  • Your saved settings, custom statuses and saved review wording

Kept briefly, then gone

  • Encrypted backups, overwritten on a rolling basis and fully cycled out within 30 days
  • Server logs containing IP addresses, held for security and cleared within 30 days
  • Any support emails you've sent us, kept for up to 24 months — tell us if you'd like those deleted too
  • Records of a purchase that we're required to keep for tax and accounting purposes, held by Google or Apple rather than by us

If you're part of a team

Deleting your own account removes your login and personal profile. Jobs, customers and invoices that belong to a business you worked in stay with that business — they're the owner's records, not yours to remove. If you're the owner and you want the whole business gone, deleting your account removes it along with the seats attached to it.

Can't get into the app?

If you can't sign in — a lost phone, a forgotten password you can't reset — email info@dabhandapp.com from the address on the account and we'll delete it for you. We'll confirm within 30 days, usually much sooner.

Changed your mind?

Deletion is permanent and can't be undone. If you only want a break, signing out leaves everything as it is until you come back.
